Using the editor on your device
Image and PDF imports are processed in your browser. The editor stores a working draft in your browser’s IndexedDB storage where available. This draft stays on that browser profile and can be removed using your browser’s site-data controls. Starting a new project replaces the working draft.
Downloading a plan or project file does not upload it to our server. Anyone with access to your device or downloaded files may be able to read them. Avoid including guest names, medical details or other unnecessary personal information in a public display plan.
Optional online saving
If you choose online saving, the complete project, including the background floor plan and annotations, is sent to the website’s server. Access requires the project code and password. Passwords are stored as hashes; project content is not end-to-end encrypted. Do not treat online saving as a place for highly sensitive information.
Online projects remain until deleted. You can delete an online project using its code and password in the editor. Retain those details: there is no automated password recovery. Contact us about data requests at info@safescape.org.uk. Identity and project ownership may need to be verified.
Security and operating records
The saving service uses short-lived pseudonymous request counters to limit abuse. Hosting infrastructure may also maintain access and security logs. Server backups, if enabled by the operator, may retain deleted information until the backups expire.
Enquiries
When you email or call, we use the details you provide to respond, prepare quotations and carry out agreed work. Enquiry and service records are kept as needed for those purposes and relevant record-keeping obligations. Please contact us if you want to ask about access, correction or deletion of your information.
Tracking
This release does not include analytics, advertising trackers or external font services. The browser draft is a functional feature of the editor. Links to other websites are governed by those websites’ own policies.
