From the building to the printed plan
If you do not have an accurate floor plan, arrange a visit to record the layout and log relevant points such as exits, alarm call points, first aid and firefighting equipment. We use the recorded information and your agreed fire arrangements to prepare the display plan.
How it works
- Tell us about the venue. Send the location, approximate size, floors and any drawings you already have.
- Agree the scope and quote. We confirm access, what will be recorded and which plans you need before booking.
- Record the layout and locations. Please arrange access and a knowledgeable contact to help identify the relevant facilities.
- Review the draft. The person responsible for the premises checks the routes, instructions and locations against the agreed arrangements.
- Receive your files. Portrait PDF and image outputs are available, with an editable project for later updates.
Hotels and event venues
For a hotel, we can prepare floor masters suitable for adding blue location stickers after printing. For an event venue, tell us whether you need a fixed building plan or plans for particular room configurations. Display positions and orientation should be checked before copies are installed.
What to prepare
Have any existing drawings, the relevant fire arrangements, approved instructions and assembly location ready. Flag recent alterations or areas where information needs clarification. We will confirm travel, availability, deliverables and any additional work in your quotation.
A visit to record the layout and prepare graphics is not a fire risk assessment, compliance inspection or fire-engineering design service. Assessment or route-design decisions need appropriate competent advice.
